Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Webpage-On-Disk?

A: Webpage-On-Disk or WOD is the by-product of the iNet2Go. Basically, iNet2Go and Webpage-On-Disk involves 3 processing steps:

1. Photocopy (iNet2Go)
2. Organize and Sort (iNet2Go)
3. Bind and Compile (WOD)

The iNet2Go is a useful utility tool for those who frequently surf the Net for research and to archive the resource material they have gathered from the various websites.

Q: How will WOD benefit the Website visitors?

A: The WOD is compiled in executable format and the program can be run under Microsoft Windows platform. It is web-browser independent and does not require a special reader software.

The HotSend viewer is inbuilt and bundled with the program. The filesize is relatively small and the compiled webpages can be viewed from a floppy disk, CD, thumbdrive and other storage media. This is helpful for those who surf the Net for information gathering in the course of their studies, work, research or for knowledge information update but do not have the time to spend online to view the web content.

Q: How will WOD benefit the Website owners?

A: The WOD will increase the number of viewership of the webpages by providing those who do not surf the Net but are able to use WOD to view the web content on their computers.

There are countless resource material-rich websites which, due to lack of publicity, have very few visitors. The WOD will, indirectly, help to promote these websites. Advertisers will also benefit from the higher percentage of increase in people who view the webpages.

Effectively, the WOD serves as an alternative distribution channel or media for website owners to enlarge their audience base - to reach out to even more people beyond those who presently surf the Internet.

The main objective of NetWOD Services is to provide an alternative method for research on the Internet in an easier, faster and more efficient way.

Q: How was the idea of the iNet2Go mooted?

A: Quite a long story, but I'll keep it short and simple. Please read it here

Q: Are there any sample Webpage-On-Disk?

A: Yes. The sample WODs are available for free download at the WOD Download
Section. These WODs are compiled with the permission of the respective WebMasters and are not intended for commercial distribution as specified in the Copyright Notice.

Q: How about copyright issues?

A: The WOD Services provided by NetWOD is not intended to infringe on the copyright of website owners. Requestors for WOD Services are required to seek permission from the respective website owners for web contents which are not available in the Internet public domain.

NetWOD will only share web content using the Webpage-On-Disk if there are no objections from non-commercial website owners. Just like the real world, there are people who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences unconditionally without placing a price-tag and there are those who would not. NetWOD will not provide WOD Services for web material for malicious or harmful purposes.

Q: Are there any restrictions for the creation of the WODs?

A:   NetWOD Services reserves the rights to reject any request for creation of any website content or material deemed to be undesirable, libellous, blasphemous or illegal. No reasons will be assigned for the rejection to the requestors.
